Ganbate (ganbate.io) is a free-to-play social casino. It is operated by Abraham Ahn, a sole proprietorship (not a corporation and not an LLC) ("we", "us", "our").
Read this page before you play. It is short on purpose. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, and our Virtual Currency & Purchase Terms.
Definitions
These two terms mean the same thing in every Ganbate document, and are reproduced word for word in each of them.
"Coins" are the virtual, in-game currency used to place in-game bets and to buy cosmetic items inside Ganbate. Coins are not money and are not your property. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use Coins inside the Service, for entertainment, for as long as we choose to offer them. Coins have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, redeemed, transferred between players, gifted, sold, or traded. There are no prizes of monetary value.
"Account" is the single Ganbate account you register with an email address, a username, and a password, and through which you use the Service. One person may hold one Account. An Account is personal to you: it may not be shared, sold, rented, gifted, traded, or used by anyone else.
1. Ganbate is a game, not gambling
1.1. Ganbate is entertainment software. You play casino-style games with virtual Coins.
1.2. There is no real-money wagering on Ganbate. You cannot bet money. You cannot win money. There are no cash prizes and no prizes of any monetary value.
1.3. Ganbate is not a gambling operator. We hold no gaming licence, we are not regulated as a gambling business, and we do not represent ourselves as either. No real-money gambling takes place here.
1.4. Game outcomes are determined by chance, and every game is provably fair: we commit to a server seed before you play, and once the seed is revealed you can recompute the result yourself. The verifier at /fairness and /verify covers all sixteen games, runs entirely in your browser, and needs no account. The full specification — including the maths, the house edge of each game, and the limits of what "provably fair" does and does not prove — is on our Provably Fair page.
1.5. The house edge is real, and it is not the same everywhere. Every game is priced so that, over time, the house wins. Most bets on the site are priced at or near a 1% edge, but some are much more expensive — the baccarat tie is the worst bet we offer, and several side bets in baccarat and blackjack cost far more than 1%. Every figure is published on our Provably Fair page. Do not assume "1% everywhere".
1.6. Two games were mispriced, we found it, and we fixed it. The wheel's medium-risk layout ran at a 2% edge instead of 1%, and baccarat's four pair side bets were badly mispriced — three of them heavily against the player, and one, Perfect Pair, actually against the house. Both are now corrected, and the tests now pin every wheel layout and every baccarat bet to the published edge. We record this here and on the Provably Fair page rather than quietly restating our numbers. Verification proves a result was not tampered with; it does not prove a paytable was priced correctly. That is a real limit, and it is why we keep the record.
2. Coins have no value
2.1. Coins are virtual items. They are a limited, personal, revocable licence to use a feature of the game. You do not own them.
2.2. Coins have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, redeemed, transferred between players, gifted, sold, or traded. There are no prizes of monetary value. They are not money, not currency, not credit, and not property.
2.3. Coins can never be turned back into money. They cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or redeemed for cash, goods, services, or anything else of value. Ganbate has no feature that does this, we will not do it for you on request, and no support agent, promotion, or exception exists that would. This is absolute.
2.4. We give you no way to send Coins to another player. There is no gift, tip, trade, or transfer feature. You may not sell, buy, trade, or offer Coins or accounts outside the game, and doing so breaches our Terms of Service.
2.5. One honest exception: poker. In poker, Coins you wager can end up in another player's balance — that is how the game works. The house takes a cut in Coins: a capped rake from cash pots, and an entry fee on tournaments (that fee is the house's, and is not part of the prize pool). Deliberately losing to move Coins to another account ("chip dumping") is prohibited. We monitor for it, and we may reverse balances, remove Coins, or close accounts when we find it.
2.6. A Coin balance is a score in a game. It is not a bank balance, and it is not an asset you can realise. If we close or suspend your Account under the Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines, any Coin balance goes with it and is not paid out.
2.7. You never need to buy Coins. Free Coins are available every day at no cost — a daily claim, a top-up when your balance runs low, and Coins for watching a rewarded advertisement. No purchase is ever necessary to keep playing. Buying a Coin pack buys entertainment, nothing more.
2.8. Refunds are narrow, and you should know the rule before you buy, not after. The rule is reproduced verbatim wherever it appears, because paraphrases are how rules drift:
A Coin purchase is refundable only if ALL of the following are true — (a) the request is made within 14 days of purchase, (b) NO wagers/bets have been placed on the account since that purchase, and (c) the purchased Coins remain unspent in the balance. Otherwise the purchase is FINAL and non-refundable. Refunds reverse the Coins. Chargebacks result in account termination and forfeiture of Coins.
Buying a cosmetic item counts as spending the Coins, exactly as a bet does. The full rule, and the two narrow cases where we give you more than it requires, are in our Virtual Currency & Purchase Terms. If anything on this page appears to conflict with that document on the subject of Coins or refunds, that document controls.
3. Ganbate predicts nothing about real gambling
3.1. Winning on Ganbate does not mean you would win at real-money gambling. Success here predicts nothing about success anywhere else.
3.2. Practising on Ganbate does not improve your odds in real-money gambling. Real casino games do not care how you performed here, and no amount of play on Ganbate changes the mathematics of a real wager.
3.3. Nothing in Ganbate is training, coaching, or preparation for gambling with money. Do not treat it as such.
4. Who may use Ganbate
4.1. You must be 18 or over to use Ganbate. Ganbate is for adults only. If you are under 18, do not use it. Sign-up puts the question to you directly: alongside the box that accepts our Terms there is a second, separate box, and it says "I am 18 or older, and I am not a resident of Washington State." You cannot create an account without ticking it, whichever way you sign up — with a password, a one-time code, a magic link, or Google. That is not a formality in the browser — our server refuses to create the account if the confirmation is not there, and it records the exact words you agreed to and the moment you agreed to them. But be exact about what that is: it is an attestation, not verification. We do not verify your age. Registration asks for an email address, a username, and a password; it does not ask for your date of birth, and we check no ID and no document. We have no way of knowing whether what you ticked is true, and anyone willing to lie will get past it. It is a question at the door, not a lock on it. Nor is sign-up the only place we ask: a signed-out visitor meets a full-screen dialog before the lobby — "Are you 18 or older?" — and has to answer it to go any further. Be exact about that one too. It runs entirely in your browser, it takes your word for it, and your answer is kept on that one device — so a different browser asks again, and someone who answers "under 18" can reload the page and answer differently. It is the same attestation, moved one step earlier. If we learn or reasonably believe that an account holder is under 18, we will close the account.
4.2. We do not offer Ganbate in Washington State (USA), or in a number of other places. You may not use Ganbate from Washington State, and you may not create or use an account there. The same goes for anywhere else the law does not allow it. Unlike the age rule above, this one is backed by a technical control — and we would rather describe it exactly than let the word "block" imply more than it delivers. There is a geographic block in the product. Our server reads the location a CDN reports for your IP address, and where that location is on our blocked list it refuses the request with a 403 that names the place we think you are — and that covers creating an account as much as placing a bet. The list ships switched on by default. It covers Washington State, where case law has treated a virtual chip bought with money as a thing of value; the countries under comprehensive US sanctions — Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the occupied regions of Ukraine — which are blocked as a payments matter, because we sell Coin packs; and countries that prohibit gambling outright: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Brunei, Afghanistan, Yemen, China, and Singapore. Now its limits, which are not small. An IP address is a guess about a place, not a fact about a person: a VPN defeats it. When no location comes back at all — no CDN header, an address that cannot be placed, Tor — nothing is blocked and the request goes through, because refusing everyone we cannot see would refuse almost everyone. The Washington block — and the block on the occupied Ukrainian regions — binds only where the CDN reports a subdivision; where it reports the country alone, it does not bite. And one rough edge we would rather name than leave you to discover: there is a public page at /unavailable that explains all of this, and the refusal itself even names that page — but nothing in the app yet takes you to it. Today a blocked visitor is likelier to meet a site that simply stops working than a plain explanation of why. That is a gap on our side, not a judgement about you. So the gate is real, and it is nowhere near a proof. What it ultimately rests on is the confirmation you gave at sign-up (4.1). Knowing where you are, and whether you may play, is still on you: you are not permitted to play from a place we do not serve whether or not the gate happens to catch you, and if we learn or reasonably believe that an account is being used from one, we may close it. If a request is refused, nothing is owed to you — Coins have no cash value (section 2), so there is no balance to pay out.
4.3. Laws about social casino games differ from place to place, and they change. It is your responsibility to know the law where you are. If using Ganbate would be unlawful where you are, do not use it. You use Ganbate on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local law.
4.4. We may withdraw or restrict access to Ganbate, in any place and at any time, where we consider it legally necessary.
5. The service is provided "as is"
5.1. Ganbate is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5.2. We do not promise that Ganbate will be available without interruption, on time, secure, or free of errors. Games, features, and Coin balances may be unavailable, delayed, reset, or lost because of outages, bugs, maintenance, or events outside our control.
5.3. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any game, feature, or the whole service at any time.
5.4. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived, or affects the refund rights set out in our Virtual Currency & Purchase Terms.
6. Limitation of liability
6.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of Ganbate — even if we were told such loss was possible.
6.2. We are not liable for loss of Coins, loss of a Coin balance, loss of game progress, or loss of cosmetic items. Coins have no cash value (section 2), so no such loss is a financial loss. This does not affect your right to a refund of a Coin purchase where our Virtual Currency & Purchase Terms give you one.
6.3. The full limitation of our liability, including any cap on our total liability to you, is set out in the Terms of Service. This section adds to it and does not replace it.
6.4. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain liabilities; where that is the case, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law permits.
7. Advertising, links, and content from other people
7.1. Ganbate shows third-party advertising served by Google through Google AdSense on the web. All of it sits inside the rewarded-advertisement flow described in 7.2 — we run no banner or display advertising anywhere on the site. We do not control what those ads say, who they promote, or where they lead.
7.2. Some Coins are earned by watching a rewarded advertisement. Watching is always optional — the daily claim and the low-balance top-up are available without ads.
7.3. Advertising may be personalised, which means our ad partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technology to select ads for you. Google's ad tag is gated on the consent position described in 7.4 — in the EEA and the UK it is not created at all unless a certified consent platform says it may be. Where the tag does load, it loads with the page rather than at the moment you open an advertisement, so from that point on it can set identifiers before you have watched anything. What is collected and who collects it is described in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.
7.4. Your controls, and how far they actually reach. A control that is oversold is worse than no control, so we will be exact. Our cookie banner offers three buttons — Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, and Manage, which takes you to Settings → Data Controls (that page needs a sign-in, which is exactly why the opt-out below does not). That is the whole of the banner; there is no per-category cookie picker behind it. Your answer is not merely filed away — it is what the advertising code reads before it decides what to do, and it needs no account: answer it while signed out and it still binds, because it is kept in your own browser. What the answer does depends on where you are. In the EEA and the UK a certified consent platform (Google's, on the IAB TCF framework) runs first and is the gate: unless it affirmatively says that information may be stored on your device and that Google is a permitted vendor, the ad tag is never created at all — no answer, a dialog you close, and a refusal all mean no tag. Everywhere else the tag may load, and what Reject Non-Essential does there is force ads into non-personalised mode. Be clear what that means, because it is not nothing and it is not everything: you still see ads, and a non-personalised ad still reads and writes on your device. Separately, Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information is a real switch, and it is in the site footer and the mobile menu — deliberately not behind a login. Turning it on rewrites the same stored decision, and where an ad tag is already running it reloads the page — the personalisation flag is read once, as the tag starts up, so flipping it in place afterwards would change nothing. If you are signed in, Settings → Data Controls carries that same switch plus per-category preferences, including Third-party sharing and Profiling, and we record the choice against your account as well. Two limits we will not paper over: the answer lives in your browser's storage, so it is per-device and not per-person — a different browser, another device, or clearing your site data, and we will ask again — and we do not yet read the Global Privacy Control signal, so turning GPC on in your browser does nothing here today. If you want personalised advertising off at the source, use your browser's cookie controls and Google's own ad settings as well. If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising: the Do Not Sell or Share switch in the footer is that opt-out and needs no account, or email [email protected] and we will action it.
7.5. An advertisement or a link on Ganbate is not an endorsement. We do not vouch for any advertiser, sponsor, website, product, or service you reach from Ganbate. If you deal with them, that is between you and them, on their terms, at your risk. We are not responsible for their content, their conduct, or their privacy practices.
7.6. Chat messages are written by other players, not by us. They are not our views, and we do not review them before they appear. We moderate after the fact — we can delete messages and mute or ban accounts once something is reported or found, but we cannot promise to catch everything, or to catch it quickly. Do not rely on anything another player tells you. Our Community Guidelines explain what is allowed and how to report a problem.
8. No professional advice
8.1. Nothing on Ganbate — in the games, on the site, in chat, in our help pages, or in any communication from us — is financial, investment, tax, legal, or medical advice.
8.2. Ganbate is not a financial product or service. Coins are not an investment. Do not make any real-world decision on the basis of anything you see here. If you need advice, ask a qualified professional.
9. Play in control
9.1. The Coins are play money, but your time, attention, and money are real. Only spend what you are comfortable losing entirely, and treat every Coin purchase as spent the moment you make it.
9.2. There is one spending limit that applies to everyone, automatically, whether you ask for it or not: you cannot buy more than US$200 of Coins in any rolling 24-hour period. Our server enforces it and will refuse a purchase that would break it. It is a ceiling, not a recommendation — it is not a substitute for deciding your own limit, and $200 a day is far more than anyone should spend on a game.
9.3. We give you two tools, at /responsible-play, and you must be signed in to use them: a loss limit and self-exclusion.
9.4. Be precise about what self-exclusion does, because it is not a total lock. For the period you choose, it stops you placing bets and stops you buying Coins. It does not sign you out, it does not stop you signing back in, and it does not block chat. It cannot be lifted early. Our Responsible Play page describes every tool we have — and, just as importantly, the ones we do not. That page sits behind the sign-in wall, because the tools act on your account. The help below does not, which is why it is set out here, on a page anyone can read without an account.
9.5. If your play stops feeling like a game, stop playing. If you are worried about gambling, talk to someone who helps with it. These services are independent of Ganbate, and are the same ones we list inside the app:
- National Problem Gambling Helpline (US) — call or text 1-800-GAMBLER
- Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org
- GamCare (UK) — 0808 8020 133
If you are somewhere else, contact a problem-gambling service in your country. We are not a counselling service, and we cannot advise you.
10. Changes, governing law, and contact
10.1. We may update this Disclaimer. The current version is always the one published on ganbate.io, dated at the top of this page. If you keep using Ganbate after a change, you accept the updated version.
10.2. This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. How disputes are resolved — including any agreement to arbitrate, any class-action waiver, and the choice of venue — is governed by the dispute-resolution section of our Terms of Service, not by this document.
10.3. If you are a consumer, nothing in section 10.2 takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right. Nothing in this Disclaimer removes a statutory right you cannot waive by agreement.

About "we". This document says "we" because it speaks for the Service, but Ganbate is one person, not a team and not a company. There is no support department and no response-time guarantee: an email may take several days to answer. We would rather tell you that than imply a queue that does not exist.
